Kinda quiet......It's been kinda quiet around here lately...well let me rephrase that, quiet on the home front, loud as you know what with the fire departments...
Family update:
Chris is in College Station, TX at some type of lineman school. He's been there for 3 weeks now and will be headed back to San Antonio, TX Friday at lunch time to work a week & then he'll be home for a bit. Next possible location of work being either Kentucky or Missouri.
Brandy has gone this evening to look at a house in Byram or Terry. She is still trying to find something up that way before school starts so she can get the kids settled. Cheynne has been to cheerleader camp this summer and she & Cole both went to Vacation Bible School. Cheyenne is bored now!!! Imagine that!!
Mom & Dad have been canning pickles, keeping Cheyenne & Cole some for Brandy and that's pretty much it. Daddy is still picking up cans to cash in. Mom referes to him as Fred off of Sansford and Son. Hey, don't knock it...those cans paid for new tires on his truck. So Mom kinda shut up when she realized how much he got for his hard work.
As for me...I've been working, getting together the stuff for a 10 yr class reunion, laying out a little and trying to get my Continued Education in for my EMT recertification. Oh & still trying to sell my little house. I am due to recertify March 07, which means I have to have a 24 hour recertification class and 48 hours of continuing education by December of this year. I'm getting ready to take a few online courses this fall thru Co-Lin. This will get me my reqs I need for paramedic school when not if I decide to go. I know it is something I want to do, but just got to find the time to do it. My grandfather always told me my education was the most valuable thing I could ever own, I just wished I'd listened to him when I was young, and didn't have any debt. BUT I was young and dumb, now I'm growning up and want to be a paramedic when I'm grown up!!! I worked a wreck yesterday and even with it being 98 degrees & being cramped into the back of a car with pieces of glass from a windshield sticking my leg, I was wanting to do what that paramedic beside me was doing. Maybe one day....
Oh yea, and Copper the cat is still alive if you guys can believe it!!!

Perfect Shirt!
Isn't this the perfect shirt for me?!?!? I thought so. I got this on my trip to Alabama (the Joe Nichols concert). Even though I didn't want to spend any extra cash, I just had to have this shirt! Wendy & Michelle said it was SCREAMING for me to buy it! For some reason people seem to think that Papa wouldn't like it if I wore it to work! :-)
They are called Southern Belle t-shirts. A place out of Columbus, MS prints them up. There are lots of cute Southern Belle saying that she had. Like "good thing about living in a small town is if you don't know what you're doing, someone else does!" , "Diamonds and pearls are nice, but there's nothing like a Mississippi Girl", "I use to go skinny dippin, but now I go chunky dunkin"-I almost got that one too! She had many more. And we are trying to contact her for more info on them. I'd like to get an order together so if anyone is interested, let me know.

Meet Copper the newest eddition to my little "cube in Bude"...He's a stray that wandered into my yard the night after Great Day and was headed for the neighbor's bulldogs when I grabbed him. I've never been much of a cat person, so I figured I'd give it a try. So far so good. I left last weekend and he didn't tear my house down believe it or not!!!! So, now we gotta go get "fixed" and declawed...that means a trip to to Uncle Pat's (Larkin)...I'll keep you posted on how this goes
GIRLS WEEKEND!!! Michelle called and said Joe Nichols, Foghat (whom I didn't know until the last song "Slow Ride"), Michael Warren (didn't know him either, but he's awsome)and the Sullivan's were in concert in a little town by her house and it was FREE!!!! My kind of concert! So Wendy and I loaded up Foxxy Boxxy (her new Honda Element) and headed to Alabama around 6:20 Friday night. We made it to Michelle's around 11:30..Of cours visited till like 2:30 Saturday morning then off to bed...Saturday she fed us breakfast..some apple thing that was good from her cooking show for this upcoming season...she was practicing...and the off to City Fest for Alibaster, AL we went.
Oh my gosh, Foghat was LOUD and I'm too old for that ...LOL...but Joe Nichols put on an AWSOME concert and even came back on to play after some of the people had left. We had a blast! THANKS MICHELLE!!! Once Michelle sends me some of the concert pictures, I'll post them.
