Here is what's happening with us!

I went on a road trip with my best friend, her husband and their 4 year old son to Georgia this past weekend. Lets just say we had a good quick trip...or as good as can be with a 4 year old stuck in the Atlanta traffic for almost 2 and a half hours. Oh yea, and one daddy sitting in the back that was getting car sick. MEN!! But we made it there and back all in less than 72 hours. It was nice to see Franklin County. Even nicer to see the Homochitto. As soon as we got in and unloaded the Durango it was off to the river. Our "usual" weekend spot!

Cheyenne & Cole have gone with their daddy to Gulf Shores for a few days. This is their first trip with him since he left, so we are praying everything goes ok. Cheyenne has been pretty good about calling her mamo every moring to let her know she and Cole are ok...Which does make us feel better. While they are in AL, Brandy has been in Terry & Byram area looking for an apartment or a house for them. She's ready to move where there are more job opportunities for her. And she'll be closer to her friends. Mom & Cheyenne aren't happy but they will both live.

Chris will load up Sunday and head for San Antonio, TX for about 6 to 8 weeks. He said with 2 truck notes, the money was too good to pass up. Can't say that I blame him!

Mom's birthday was yesterday. We are going Sunday to celebrate her birthday and a friend of ours together.

Daddy of course is getting ready to go fishing on Friday.

He and the Brother Hood Fellowship men are still working on Mr. Cliff Berryhill's house. As many of you know Mr. Cliff was diagnoised with cancer about a year ago and pased away about a month ago. Over years the house that held this LARGE family was beginning to show signs of age and in need of many repairs so the Brother Hood with many generous donations took it upon theirselves to see that Mrs. Sandra & the kids would have a nice worry free place to stay. It is amazing the work these guys can do considering very few of them have been "real carpenters" I walked into the house the other day and was amazed at their handy work and creativeness. If any of you know Mrs. Sandra and knew Mr. Cliff they were very down to earth ordinary people. Nothing fancy (but I guess with 8 kids, fancy went out the door a long time ago!), nothing extravagant, just good Christian people, basic everyday folks, so Cliff & Sandra said nothing fancy, just basic...but this basic is BEAUTIFUL! I told Daddy to remember this for my house that I plan to build one day!!I won't say what kind of look he gave me! If any of you get a chance, especially on a Saturday(if there is a whole bunch of trucks there), ride by and visit with these guys, I'm sure they could use an extra hand. Please continue to pray for this family. While this remodeling phase is going on they are all living at a son's house right up the road. They will still have many difficult days ahead adjusting to life here on earth without a husband, father, friend, hero and I'm sure many many other things to them that Mr. Cliff was.

Oh yea & say a prayer for Jennifer, Shelly and the boys. Shelly broke his ankle I think last Friday. A horse stumbled and flipped over on him. When the horse got up, Shelly's foot was still in the stir-up and he was on the ground. He seems to be behaving himself so I hear, but I'm sure he's in pain and knowing Shelly like I do, staying in the house is not the easiest thing to do.

I hope everyone has a happy and safe Memorial weekend!!

Chris and his toys!!!

Chris and his toys...yes, you are seeing two Dodge pickups...& one does have a 4 wheeler in the back of it.... the red one is his old 4 wheel drive...and then the one with the hood up is his "new" dually

yes and you are seeing a car seat, he has been dating a friend of his he knew when he was in high school...her name is Bridgett and she has a little boy named Colby that is two. I've come to the conclusion that whenever Chris settles down(after he gets thru paying for these toys), he will have a ready made family. I think the last 3 girls he's dated have had a child...which he thought with the first one Mom and Dad would freak out, but remember, Mom was a single parent with Brandy when Dad met her, so "It is all good" per Mom's words. We try to tell him to fall in love with the girl before he does the child...maybe he'll learn one day...

oh yea it's summer time and he says that hardhat is HOT so he's a baldy...This is Bridgett Magee from Liberty...she is going to school to be a massage therapist. She will graduate in 2 months. She want to go back in a year and get her occupational therapy stuff..so we'll see how this goes. The picture below is a picture of Cole and her little boy Colby...They are both such a mess!!!
Mother's Day at Mom's...Virtually consisted of us just "chillin" out. Brandy has a new camera and I went camera CRAZY with Mom's flowers.. She and Daddy have gotten into the flower thing now...Funny how when we were kids, we NEVEr had flowers around.
Her Glads....i had never seen a yellowish/green Glad until this one bloomed last year. I was amazed..I love purple, but this one is one of my favorite
I have no idea what this is called, I'm sure Mrs. Barbara can tell me...and when she does I'll be like duh!!

Her Gerbers...she has a whole row of these planted that have not bloomed yet...so I can't wait until they do...these are some she planted about 2 years ago that keep coming back
This is a pot she has on the back patio

some around the patio

And of course forMother's Day, I got her more FLOWERS..Imagine that!!!

My baby! She was given to me by a dear friend many years ago. Everyone, meet Chase, my Red Heeler that Kevin give me 4 years ago as a birthday present. She really needs to be somewhere she can run and play, but since she came from Kevin, I still can't stand the thought of getting rid of her. She keeps me up with her barking at time, but that is nothing that a shot in the butt with the BB gun can fix.

She don't like men much at all, so what does that tell ya...yea that I don't have any men friends that come around. In fact just the other day, she got after Daddy at HIS OWN house. Which I'm sure wasn't good for her to do. She was still alive when I got back to Daddy's and I didn't see any sign of broken skin on either, so I guess Daddy didn't beat her and she didn't bite Daddy. But I'm sure he done some yelling or fussing at her......

Be lucky I can't get a picture of my other pet on here. Paul...he's a turtle!!!

Brandy & the kids had a 4-wheeler ride with the MS Deaf Association a few weeks ago. They all had a good time. You know that you have a little brother that really loves you when he will let you take his truck and his 4-wheeler off for the weekend. They went to Wiggins, MS for this ride. Brandy said everyone had a good time. She isn't really sure if she'll take Cole next year or not. He lives by the theory of "monkey see, monkey do"...whatever he sees Cheyenne do, he thinks he is old enough to do also. Brandy said he didn't really want to play with the kids his age at all, he wanted to be where ever "Ann" (that's what he calls Cheyenne) was. But a good time was had, and that is all that matters.

After they got home, it was time to clean up Uncle Chris' 4-wheeler...Which I'm sure was more fun for them rather than work.
